BASE - An Overview of School-Year Programs for K - 8 Students

Grades K - 3 After-School BASE held in the child's home school  These programs offer many enriching activities on a daily basis.  Some of these activities consist of arts/crafts, cooking, nature/science, drama and games/sports.  There is also the opportunity for indoor/outdoor free play.

Wayland Middle School BASE (Grades 4 - 8) After-School  This program offers sports and games, arts and crafts, sewing, community service, cooking, walking trips in the neighborhood, and scheduled homework time. Fourth and fifth graders also attend the BASE middle school program.  Their program includes activities specifically designed for their age group.  A Wayland Public School bus provides transportation to the Middle School each afternoon.

There is a two-day minimum and no drop-ins are allowed in the after-school programs.

Community Education and Global Languages
Art, Chinese Language and Culture, French and Spanish, and drama are among the enrichment programs WSCP brings to Wayland's children. Classes change throughout the year. Offerings vary by school and time of year and are publicized through school newsletters and e-blasts. Information and registration links are on the WSCP Community Education page.
